It’s a new year, with new ideas and new perspectives.  Franchises in 2020 are popping up all over and they’re showing up in a wide variety to boot.  From food to fitness, to family, this is going to be a bustling year for businesses.  If you are interested in the freshest franchise trends for the new year, keep reading. 

Food

In the world of food, there are a number of trending categories that will be exciting to entrepreneurs.  Chaps Pit Beef has been making major waves in the world of BBQ, and with a ringing endorsement from Food Network star Guy Fieri, they’ll be riding those waves to success forthwith!  BBQ is huge, almost no matter where you go in America, which makes it a great money-making opportunity.

There are also exciting ventures in the realm of fast-casual dining.  Zac’s Burger’s was just voted the best burger in Delaware, which makes it a prime choice for anyone in the Northeast region of the U.S.  It’s fresh ingredients and friendly atmosphere make it a fantastic choice for consumers as well.

Another up and comer in health food is B.Good, which has a focus on pure, simple, and locally grown ingredients.  They also have a season rotating menu that provides a quarterly variety not seen in a lot of fast-casual restaurants. 

As we edge out foodstuffs, let’s take a look at one of the franchise trends that never seems to be on the downtick, coffee.  Plenty of us have thought about owning a coffee shop in our community, but the trouble with coffee is that to make a profit, you need to sell in high volume as well as have a lot of additional product add-ons like sandwiches and donuts.

Family

Another interesting option for franchises in 2020 and one that franchise trends show is on the increase, is senior care.  According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the number of citizens over the age of 65 is expected to nearly double over the course of the next 40 years.  What this means is that as they grow older, an increasing number of the population will want to live at home.
